The Coaches

Momentum CoachesThe Momentum coaching program is what really sets us apart from other camps and your personal experience will always be a priority for us. We select only the very best skiers, who not only have the skills and experience, but also the passion and personality to ensure that you get the most out of your week at camp. This passion translates directly to our campers, which is why so many come back year after year - some becoming coaches themselves!

On the first day of each session we break the campers into groups of four to seven skiers, based on your ability level and the friends you want to ski with. Our ability questionnaire covers everything from skiers who are just learning to become comfortable in the air, to skiers who are working on cutting edge switch rotations and rail tricks. Just because you are in a group, it doesn't mean you have to work on the same thing as everyone else. Our coaches will help you work on whatever tricks you want to learn and our coaching is totally customized for the individual.

Each day you will meet your new coach after the morning stretch and will ski with that coach all day. At Momentum you'll work with a different coach each day, so you can experience the talent and knowledge of all of our great coaches. You will get plenty of video and will meet up with your coaches again in the evenings for one-on-one video review with slow motion playback. Footage of you and your group will be added to the camp promo DVD, along with a soundtrack of great music and a camp slide show, which will be mailed to you a few months after camp and in time to inspire you for the upcoming season.

We also make sure you get plenty of opportunity to practice your moves safely on trampolines and waterramps before taking them to the snow, all fully supervised by CFSA qualified coaches.

Last summer we expanded our team bringing in more top names to our established crew, including Peter Olenick, Matt Hayward, Justin Dorey, Tanner Rainville, Chris Turpin, Colby West, John Spriggs, JF Houle, Ian Costco and Kaya Turski. We expect to see many of them back again in 2009 as well as top pros like Simon Dumont and Tanner Hall who will be back to shred the terrain and stoke out the campers.

Guest Pros

Every week we have guest pros who show up to train in our terrain park. Simon Dumont, Tanner Hall, CR Johnson, Mike Riddle, Matt Hayward, Austin Ross, JD Zicat and JA Maheu are just a few of the pros who have skied alongside and inspired our campers. With visiting film crews and photographers on site throughout the summer, you can be sure they'll be laying down their latest and greatest moves!
