The Freeride Program

Quick Facts

• Each Session consists of 9 days – 6 days on snow, 1 rest day, and 2 days for travel.
• To ensure that everyone receives individual coaching you'll be put in a group of 4-7 skiers depending on your skiing level
• Our coaches ski, eat and stay in the hotel with the campers. Not only will you ski with them, you'll be able to hang out with them.
• Multiple water ramp and trampoline sessions with our qualified CFSA coaches are all part of the package to help you progress faster and safely
• Salomon is a sponsor of our camp and they will have a fleet of demo skis available for free at the bottom of our terrain park.
• Your coach will film you on video every day, then review that video with you each night. Footage of you and your group will be added to the camp DVD, along with a soundtrack of comments from your coaches, which will be sent out to you a few months after camp, along with photos and video footage of the whole camp. This will remind you of all the great coaches tips and inspire you for the upcoming season.
• On the last day of camp we host an optional Slopestyle contest in our private terrain park. We break the campers into age categories, and the winners of each category get first pick of the prizes at the lake party that evening.
• Everyone gets the opportunity to win a new pair of Salomon skis and you are guaranteed to go home with a prize from one of our sponsors.
• HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL CAMPERS!

A typical day at Momentum Freeride...

Wake up at 7am and head over to Merlins restaurant for a huge buffet breakfast. When your stomach's full (around 8am) we jump on the Wizard express for the ride up Blackcomb mountain where you're almost guaranteed to see bears on the way up. After 3 chair lifts and a short bus ride, you feel like you're on top of the world as you arrive at the top of 7th Heaven and the Horstman Glacier.

Put your skis on and get warmed up as the crew shapes the transitions for perfect trajectory. At 9:30am we meet for a stretch and to make sure everyone's got a good layer of sunscreen on. After stretch, you'll meet up with your new coach for the day and rip up the mountain -- table tops, 1/4 pipe, Wall Ride, hip jumps, rails, bumps and steeps... the only time you'll have to rest is when you chomp down your juice break around noon.

After the break you'll be back at it, while the coaches capture your best moves on video for review later that night. At about 1:30pm when your body starts to beg for mercy we head to Horstman Hut for a all-you-can-eat buffet lunch and a chance to get out of the hot sun for a little while.

After lunch it's down the mountain and back to the hotel to recharge the batteries for about an hour before we meet for afternoon activities at 4pm. We usually have 3 different organized activities going each day so you'll never be bored.

At 6:30pm we go to whatever restaurant is featured on the dine-around restaurant schedule. It doesn't matter which night it is, it'll be something good for sure.

After dinner we're back to the hotel for video review where you and the coaches can analyze your moves so that the next day can be even better. Once you've checked out your video, head outside to our private pro-level trampoline where you can bounce until 9:30 pm every night. We make sure you're back in the hotel by 10pm so that you'll have enough energy to do it all again tomorrow.
