Momentum Terrain Park

LATEST NEWS: Momentum will offer 5 full lanes again this summer - the largest SKIING-ONLY private summer skiing terrain.

Momentum has 2 private terrain parks on Blackcomb's Horstman Glacier, which means our space never gets crowded. We have a full time crew of diggers who board the first lift every morning to make sure all the features are ready to go when you are. Freeride Manager Trennon Paynter oversees all the prep work and makes sure the transitions are perfect! The Momentum terrain parks are right alongside the Showcase T-Bar, so you can get more runs per hour than any other camp - no hiking, and no skating or traversing required and we have the shortest lift line on the glacier!

Here's a rundown of some of our terrain features, remember that every year we change it up and add new stuff, so whether you're a first time camper, or one of our many returning campers, there will always be some pleasant surprises:

Table-Tops ranging in size from 5 to 60 feet

Progression is everything when we design our jumps. Our smallest jumps are perfect for getting comfortable in the air, learning your first 360, trying your first backflips on snow, or getting the hang of switch and unnatural spins.

The medium sized tables are designed for moves like bigger spins, 540s, Rodeos, Misties and Switch spins.

The big table has a smooth tranny and enough pop for just about any trick.

Rails, Rails and more Rails

Once again progression is everything when it comes to the rail set up at Momentum. For those just trying to learn we've got our beginner boxes set right on the snow. The progression continues from there with a wide variety of features that take it to the next level. At some point in every session we make sure our rails get dug in nice and deep so that you can try doing tricks onto the rails without all the risk.

The Great Wall

30' x 16' High Wall Ride - "THE NUMBER 1 HIT ON THE GLACIER"

Momentum is the only camp with the Big Wall ride and a roller coaster rail on top! A challenge to master but always a fun ride to learn.

Mini-quarter pipe + Half Pipe

Our mini-quarter pipe will help build your confidence and skills before taking things into the larger pipe.

Bumps and Steeps

Included in our private terrain is the best summer mogul course in North America. If you want to get a few laps in the bumps + hit the jumps, Momentum Freeride campers, have access to the course every day. If you like skiing the steeps, definitely sign up for the first Freeride session. Earlier in the season the snow is deeper and we can access more steep terrain.
